Wilds of Chilterns Tour with Towersey Morris Men.
(written in Jill's best handwriting)
We danced at The Chequers, Fingest, in the middle of the road. (This was a better alternative to gravelly car park, grass or carpeted pub). The landlord stopped the traffic and loads of locals came to watch. Towersey kept the audience entertained while we waited to become quorate (or quintate?). We nearly didn't dance there as Katie and Nigel had to divert to another pub to feed Katie's Mum. Eventually we danced both Bobbits and DERTy dance.
The second pub was The Ship. We danced in an intimate little space, just right for rapper dancers, around the back. The only mishap I remember is that Katie didn't jump as Julie let go of her sword. Towersey MM kept us entertained & we managed to dance both dances. Then we retired to the pub to enjoy the excellent beer and music.
Shame about the floors but excellent company and lovely scenery.
