International Mabel Day 2005
In a tradition dating back to as long ago as 2000, Mabel organises a day of dance in Oxford city centre. Rapper teams from all over the country converge, dancing in pubs, on street corners, and, in fact, pretty much anywhere there's six square feet of space and the possibility of an audience.
This year, Mabel Day VI will be taking place on the 4th of December.
The following teams are expected:
East Saxon
Northgate
Spica
St Monday
Thrales
Whip the Cat
We're meeting in The Goose, Gloucester Green, at 12 midday on Sunday. Please note this is not the pub we've met at in other years!
We'll be heading over to the Far From The Madding Crowd a little after one o'clock, and making out way to the King's Arms by about quarter past four. In between, there will be several tours running at the same time. They'll include (but may not be limited to, knowing Thrales):
Antiquity Hall
Grapes
Castle Tavern
Blenheim
Old Tom
St Aldates Tavern
Lamb & Flag
See you there.
